Lupine (a character inspired by Maurice Leblanc) is the most popular thief in literature. The story begins when Lupen is 11 years old and lives in a miserable orphanage run by a tough couple. The other orphans respect and love him because he steals and distributes food to everyone. One night, after being caught in the act, he is expelled from the orphanage. Clever, courageous and with a deep sense of honor, at the age of fourteen Lupine is already notorious among the criminals of Paris (we are in 1889). His house is the most famous building in the city, and his neighbors are counterfeiters, bank robbers, people of the underworld. Lupine, however, would never steal for no reason and always shares his booty with the neighborhood orphans. Through an adventure with many escapes, disguises and upheavals, the author takes us to the adventurous past of the most famous and beloved thief in the world.
